All about the habit

Look, I'm updating again! And so soon, too!

Here's todays Roberto's Challenge

I'm busy in the weekend. I need to model one set and one prop for our trailer project. We were supposed to learn Zbrush, but much to my dismay I spent all week in Maya.

Our teacher, David Sanchez, is a 3D modeller who has worked on movies such as John Carter and Star Trek. He tells us he knows people at Disney and WETA. Consider me intrigued.

Can't wait to learn Zbrush.

A Heartfelt Apology

I'm so sorry.

I'm terrible at updating blogs and I thought I would do better when I first made this. I will not relent though, and hope to improve my current mindset.

In these past few weeks I've been locked down because of a jaw surgery, but tomorrow I'm heading back to school for the Zbrush-bonanza. We're going to learn Zbrush for our trailer project and it's something I plan to get really good at.

That being said, so far every time I've picked it up I'm in the habit of procrastinating with 2D instead.

Speaking of which, I've been doing 30 minute paintings this past week for our wonderful years http://robertochallenge.tumblr.com/. It started after we had a teacher and concept artist named Roberto Castro doing an evening of live painting. He said it would be good practice, and that I feel has been true so far. I'm enjoying it a lot.

If I get the chance, I will post x-rays of my skull next. I'm part cyborg now, you know.

Todays theme on Roberto's Challenge: Plan B.

Update Pending #2

Before I head back to school again!
(recovering from surgery, which means I should have plenty of time to update my blog, right?)
